Short Description

T10 Mermoz Black watch has an amazing history.
This is a unique watch which is inspired by the original LIP board watch of Jean Mermoz’ Croix du Sud seaplane.
T10 Mermoz Black keeps the authenticity of the board watch and the specific and unique features : off-centered small second hand at 7 am, crown and date at 4 am. The fluorescent indexes are the result of Pierre and Marie Curie researches. The full black version is timeless and stamped by its history.

History :
LIP shared a part of the Aeropostale adventure. From 1935, LIP produced a small set of board watches. One of these board watches, called Type 10, equipped Jean Mermoz’ seaplane. This board watch, Type 10, was recognized for its reliability and for its high precision.
Jean Mermoz is a legendary aviator. His nickname was ‘Archangel’. He developed air lines which was very dangerous at that time. Jean Mermoz Late 300 Croix du Sud seaplane has been produced in Toulouse Latecoere factories to deliver mail.

Born on the 9th of December 1901, French pilot, legend of the Aeropostale.

Lip offered it’s know-how to service Jean Mermoz’s Aeropostale adventure by equiping his Late 300 Croix du Sud manufactured by the Latecoere Factories based in Toulouse, with a high precision on board watch.
