"Thanks to its French design from 1935, T18 Churchill Silver model has a vintage look. The silver case version and two silver finishing dial remind the art deco spirit of the beginning of the 30's. The large flat crown is a distinctive feature of this model.
Its advanced movement and its ""off-centered small second hand" make this model historical.
History:
The manufacturing of the Type 18 caliber began in 1935 just before the war 39-45. During this clash, the company moved in the center of France, then in the South, in Valencia. At the end of the war, Lip went back to Besançon and rebuilt its factory. The T18 was finally launched.
This model is recognized for its advance watch-making know-how and for its high precision. It was equipped by one the first caliber (movement) with an ""off-centered small second hand"".
A T18 LIP model has been offered to Sir Winston Churchill (in 1948) by the French Government to thanks him for Great Britain support in France during Second World War. |
